Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for supporting individuals and families through life's challenges. As Mind Bridge Psychological Services, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence in counselling for adults and children, therapeutic life story work, and trauma resolution. Here, we address your most important questions to help you understand our services better.

When someone is thinking about counselling for themselves or their child, what are the top questions they usually ask you?

Clients often ask about our confidential and discreet service. For children, confidentiality and safeguarding are handled differently, and this can be thoroughly discussed. We typically offer weekly or fortnightly sessions with progressive reviews to ensure therapy is moving forward effectively. You are welcome to bring someone to your first appointment if that makes you feel more comfortable. We also want you to know that Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) for neurodivergent individuals is available and highly successful, as we have skilled adaptations to the therapeutic session. You can stop therapy at any time; there is no binding contract. Changes between face-to-face and remote sessions are also possible to suit your needs.

What makes your way of helping people, especially with things like therapeutic life story work or trauma, stand out?

Our approach stands out through individual story success and ongoing support or signposting for those struggling to engage. We provide innovative sessions designed to meet each person as a unique individual, ensuring a tailored and effective therapeutic journey, particularly with Therapeutic Life Story Work and trauma resolution.

What important things should someone know about what happens during a counselling session or when they first get in touch with Mind Bridge Psychological Services?

When you first get in touch, we begin with an initial consultation and assessment. Following this, we develop a unique session plan tailored to cover your specific goals and meet your individual needs. Our aim is to make sessions match what makes you comfortable and to ensure they are as effective as possible for your personal growth.

What is therapeutic life story work?
